I wasn’t convinced by Özil when he was at Schalke. I thought he was evolving very well at Werder but also thought that between Marin and Hunt, Schaaf could easily replace him. Then I thought it was a shame Özil went to Madrid instead of Barca but now in hindsight, he probably wouldn’t have had the opportunities he has received at Madrid, mainly due to Kaka’s injuries.

Mourinho is up there with Maradona, Rijkaard and John Terry for me. I have nothing positive to say about them. So when I see Özil play like this, I honestly think he deserves better. A club where he can truly shine, possibly FC Augsburg! Mesut just makes it look so easy… imagine what he could do in a pair of Copa Mundials!
